On the third day, after having breakfast, we went to the bus to go to our last destination, Prima Rasa and Saung Angklung Udjo. Prima Rasa is a bakery that sells specialty cakes and delicacies from Bandung. There were a lot of people here, and we got a chance to shop for some specialties to bring home. The cakes were delicious =D After that we went to Saung Angklung Udjo, which is a place to make angklung, a traditional musical instrument from Bandung. We got the opportunity to learn to play angklung, and also watch a dance from the children there. I even got the chance to dance along with those kids =). Next we watched the process of making angklung. It turns out that it needs approximately 3 years for an angklung to be produced. At one, we went back to Jakarta. The journey took approximately 3 hours, so we had lunch at the bus.
As soon as we got to Jakarta, we went straight to a restaurant near the airport. Then, we had to wait for about one hour for the restaurant to serve us. Then, after we ate dinner we went to the airport. It was already five in the noon. We were called one by one to get our boarding passes. Then, we went inside to the waiting room and waited there. It was at 7 when we boarded the aircraft. The journey took 1 hour and we arrived at Juanda airport safely at eight thirty. We had to take our luggage, and that concludes our field trip to Jakarta and Bandung. From this fieldtrip, we have learned a lot, and this was a great learning experience for all of us =)

Field Trip
The next day, I woke up very early, and I took a bath. At around 7 am, I went down to have breakfast. After breakfast, we went straight to KAA museum. KAA stands for Konferensi Asia Afrika. The conference itself was held at 1954, and it results in the deletion of non-aligned movement, it was originally thought by the first president of Indonesia, Soekarno. It involves a lot of countries, and the building is very historical. I learned a lot from the visit, also the staffs were very welcoming and they are willing to answer our questions regarding the museum.
After the visit to KAA museum, we went to the distros. There was a street filled with distros, and after we got the chance to do our interview and tasks, we can shop, but the time was very limited, though, so I didn’t get anything from the shopping program. After that we went to Pagoda restaurant, which is a Chinese restaurant near the distros. We had a great lunch, and then we went to the geology museum of Bandung. The geology museum was very complete and it was very historical too. There we can find a collection of rocks, fossils, and even a huge fossil of a T-Rex, though it scared me. It makes me learn so much there, and it was very interesting to learn about the geological thing in Indonesia.
After a historical experience, we undergo an industrial experience. We went to one of my favorite destinations during the whole trip which is C59. C59 is a clothing factory which makes and manufactures t-shirts. After a quick presentation about the history of the company, we went on a trip inside the factory. Here, we can see a lot of things going on, from cutting the fabric to printing the t shirt, which is called as silk screening. Some of us even get to do this too. It is basically done on a canvas and we just need to press and slide the handle so that the color will stick to the fabric. After we print the t-shirt we let it dry, and after it is dry, it was ironed and checked if there was a mistake in the production. Then the t-shirts were folded and packaged. The C59 usually have a mass production, so they produce t-shirts for big companies in a large quantity.
A few moments later we went back on track to a factory outlet called Rumah Mode. We went shopping there for 2 hours, and the price there was quite cheap, but the shopping spree isn’t over yet. We got to go to one of the most awaited places to visit which is Paris van Java. It is basically a shopping mall with lots of shops there. We were given around 3-4 hours shopping there, but it just seem to not be enough =( . At around 9 PM we went back to the hotel and we packed our suitcases to go home the next day.

Field Trip
On the 8th of February 2011, grade 10 students of Cita Hati Christian School went on a field trip to Jakarta and Bandung. We gathered at the airport at 5 in the morning and departed at 6.30 in the morning. It was so early in the morning, and I was very sleepy at the time. Thank God that there were already some of my friends that I can talk to. We flew by Garuda Indonesia airlines and by 1 hour we landed in Soekarno-Hatta airport already! =D
We waited for around 1 hour while having breakfast at A&W. The second group arrived around 1 hour after we did.
Then there were a short briefing about the tour, the bus distribution, and the booklet distribution. Shortly afterwards, we departed to our first destination, which was the Garuda Maintenance Facilities. The Garuda Maintenance Facilities (GMF) is a HUGE building, and it is where airplanes get maintained and serviced. Not only for Garuda Indonesia airplanes but also for other nationals airlines and even international airlines. I was impressed because it was a precious and rare experience and not many people can go inside and observe the way things work there. We had to do a report there and after that, we got the opportunity to come in a huge aircraft and I got to the cockpit, which was very fun. The cockpit was very narrow and it has a lot of buttons and very complicated. After that we went to Aerofood Catering Service. It is a company that provides food for the airplanes. Not only food, but also for the blankets, pillow, and etc. We got the chance to go inside the food processing plant where they keep all the ingredients and store them in a freezer, also how they process them. We got to eat our lunch there and it was pretty good.
Next stop, GITC or Garuda Indonesia Training Center. It is where all the stewards and stewardesses are trained. Everything from make up, attitude, etc are being taught there. We got the chance to go into the simulator and we had fun there. After that we went directly to Bandung. It was a 3 hours road trip, and when we arrived there it was already night, so we went straight to dinner, at Kampung Daun, which was a very nice restaurant. Very traditional and the food was pretty delicious also. After dinner, we checked in to the Amaris hotel. It didn’t take long for me to go to sleep because it was a very exhausting day and we had to get up early in the morning the next day.
